To value the imperfect, the process of creation until it's finished. The wabi-sabi concept, a Japanese worldview practiced since the 15th century and based on an aesthetic ideal that exalts the irregular, the impermanent, and the incomplete. Following this trend, widely used in several decoration items, Oxford presents the Ryo porcelain collection: unique pieces that value manual work and imperfect compositions. The name Ryo is a Japanese word that means "excellent."
Oxford sought inspiration in Blue Bay, a coastal town located in New South Wales, Australia, to create this collection's shades. The pieces bring the beauty of this region's beaches in a mixture between the sand of light tones and the ocean's reflected blue colour—the decoration's pointillism results from a manual process, which guarantees exclusive designs on each piece.
Dinner set with 20 pieces in porcelain, the composition is formed for 4 dinner plates, 4 dessert plates, 4 soup plates, 4 teacups and 4 tea saucers.
